Cycle Chelan 2026 – Frequently Asked Questions
When and where will check-in registration begin and end?
Friday, June 19th – 4:00pm-7:30pm @ Vin du Lac Winery and Bistro
Saturday, June 20th – 6:30am – 9am (Chelan River Park). This is starting point for all Cycle Chelan rides.
What do I get with my entry fee?
Your entry fee gives you 1 of 4 curated, well managed routes to choose from, pre-ride refreshments, provisions at 7 different rest stops on course, safety and gear support out on the course, boat transportation across Lake Chelan as part of each route, an after-ride party back at the start area (Chelan River Park) with (1) complimentary drink ticket, and the sense of joy knowing that your donation will contribute meaningfully to awarding scholarships for worthy Chelan and Manson students and other programs supporting the Chelan Valley community.
Is my entry fee tax-deductible?
It is not. While Rotary Club of Chelan is a non-profit, the nature of this event does not allow for the entry fee to be tax deductible.
I heard there is a raffle – how do I participate and what can I win?
We will be raffling many great gift baskets at the Chelan River Park near the conclusion of the Party. You can purchase the raffle tickets when you register or at the after party. One ticket is $10. All proceeds help fund scholarships and other charitable community causes. You do not need to be present to win – we will contact you if you win to coordinate the pickup of your basket.
On Saturday (ride day), who can I call if I have questions and/or need assistance?
Please call Dan Hodge at 509-860-9451, who is playing point on answers and/or getting the assistance you might need.
What time do the rides start?
Officially, the start times are:
- 7:00am for Signature Challenge 100 (100 miles)
- 7:30 AM for Metric Century (62miles)
- 8:00 AM for Lake Loop (45miles)
- 9:00 AM for Cycle di Vino (30miles)
Can I start the ride earlier (or later) than the official start time?
We encourage riders to start at or near the official times but know there are circumstances that might cause an alternate start time. If so, be aware that some venues/wineries/rest stops might not be open if you leave too early. Wineries, for example, will likely not be open before 10 am. Also, please note “last call” hours on the boat crossing and rest stops.
Is there an end time for the rides?
- Last ferry crossing is scheduled for 2:45 pm
- Rest stops and hours are noted above
- SAG (Support and Gear) will end at 3:00 pm
Are the routes the same as last year?
No, not all routes will be the same. Cycle di Vino runs in a clockwise direction this year. Same for the Lake Loop. Both the Metric Century and Signature Challenge 100 run counterclockwise. Routes and directions are available by ride at https://cyclechelan.org/
Where are the rest stops?
The rest stop open windows are:
Start Area Rest Stop 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
Apple Acres (Apple Acres Road & Hwy 97) – 7:15 am to 9:00 am
McNeil Canyon Water Stop (base of McNeil Canyon) 8:00 am – 10:30 am
McNeil Canyon Rest Stop (Top of McNeil Canyon) 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Ivan Morse Rest Stop (Wapato Lake Rd and Ivan Morse Rd) 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Manson Bay Rest Stop 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
State Park Rest Stop 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Field’s Point Rest Stop 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
What will be available at the rest stops?
Food: Rockit apples, bananas, fig bars, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, snacks, Hammer gels and fizz packets & peanut butter pretzels, cookies, M&Ms, raisins, etc.
Drinks: coffee (start/finish only), water, electrolyte drink, chocolate milk – (start/finish, Manson Bay, State Park)
Supplies: first aid kit, tire pump, sunscreen, ibuprofen
What will be available at the after-party event and will purchases need to be cashless?
The afterparty will be held at Chelan River Park 12pm-4pm. Take in some bites from Nomad Food Truck (https://countylinechelan.com/nomad-food-truck/ and enjoy wine and beer options. Cashless purchasing only.
What else is going on in Chelan that day/weekend?
The Chelan Valley is very active on that weekend; it is summer so all lake recreation, shopping, wineries, etc. are very active. We encourage you to stop by those businesses that have sponsored Cycle Chelan 2026 at https://cyclechelan.org/
